Equator – the Belt Factory™️ is a belt and accessory manufacturer in Durban on a long-term committed sustainability journey. Ecolution Consulting are the lead sustainability consultants on the project, offering general sustainability and green building strategy and guidance, sustainability communications as well as Green Star SA consulting. Equator is now the first member of the local fashion (CTFL) supply industry to achieve a Five Star Green Star Certification for Existing Building Performance from the Green Building Council of South Africa.

Project Details
The end goal is circular economy and carbon neutrality of the product. That ideal is currently far off, however, we are working with Equator on short, medium and long-term strategies and actions that include the factory building and operations, raw materials, packaging and logistics.
